In August 2023, two new features have emerged on the platform. Through this article we will discover them and learn together how to use them!

Generation of an authentication key to access restricted-access datasets

On December 1, 2022, the mobility license was implemented on the PRIM portal. Since that day, a authentication being required, you must be logged in to your account on the platform to access data subject to this license (all APIs and certain datasets).

The feature that joined the PRIM portal this month will allow you to generate an authentication key to be integrated into your requests in order to access static data subject to the mobility license without having to be connected to the PRIM portal.

Procedure for generating a static-data-specific authentication key on PRIM

In order to generate your static-data-specific authentication key on PRIM, you must first log in to your account on the PRIM platform.

Once logged in, by clicking at the top right of the screen on"your profile" a menu appears and you need to click on the entry "My authentication tokens".

Menu displayed once you are logged into your account on the PRIM platform.

Within the "My authentication tokens" page, click on thesecond tab "Static data"then on the"Generate my token" button. You can generate a new authentication key at any time, but this will render the old one obsolete.

Then, copy your authentication token through the dedicated button.

Then go to your query tool and select "API Key"as type of authentication. Enter "Authorization" in the "Key" field. Finally, enter inthe "Value" field: "Apikey" followed by the value of your key (both of which must be separated by a spaceas illustrated by the screenshot below).

Example with the Postman querying tool.

If you'd like more information about how to use your token, this documentation relating to this is available within the page "Need help"of the PRIM portal.

A quick questionnaire integrated into all PRIM portal pages

A second feature has made its appearance on PRIM this August 2023. Its purpose is to gather your opinions, feedback and suggestions for improvements to the PRIM platform. Thus, a first quick survey has been integrated in the form of a little blue window named "Give-your-opinion" on theright-hand side of all PRIM platform pages. Simply click on this little window so that it unfolds and the form is displayed. Completing this questionnaire will take you not more than a minute and will enable us to develop the PRIM platform taking into account your feedback.

A general survey on a dedicated PRIM portal page

To complete this brief questionnaire, a second, more exhaustive survey is available on a dedicated PRIM portal page. It's still quick to complete, as it won't take you more than 3 minutes. The questions it contains make it easier for you to send us your suggestions for improving the PRIM platform, enabling us to develop the portal in line with your needs, desires and ideas.

To access this general survey simply go to the PRIM platform homepage, scroll down to the title "Contribute to improving the PRIM platform!", then click on the"Complete the form". You will then be redirected to the PRIM platform page dedicated to the general survey.
