The T12 tramway which connects the cities of Massy-Palaiseau and Evry-Courcouronnes is now operational!

Fully electric and accessible to people with disabilities, since December 10, Ile-de-France travelers can take advantage of the tram-train that connects the cities of Evry-Courcouronnes to Massy-Palaiseau in just 39 minutes.

The T12, known as the tram-train, is a multi-purpose vehicle, designed to run both on urban tram tracks and on the rail network.

In the current context, it will replace the REC C service between Massy-Palaiseau and Epinay-sur-Orge and from Epinay-sur-Orge it will serve as a classic tramway to its terminus, Evry-Courcouronnes.

The T12 mainly aims to boost the economic and urban development of the territory.

Indeed, this tram-train establishes an essential connection between two important economic centres in Essonne and promotes the possibilities of connecting the different lines (RER B, RER C, RER D).

Also, the commissioning of the T12 led to the creation of a shuttle that was gradually called line V, (currently RER C) which ensured the continuity of the line between Massy-Palaiseau and Versailles Chantier.
