<p>The digital displays referential prescribes the functional and graphic elements (static and dynamic) of digital displays (embedded and on-site), applicable in normal and disrupted, planned and unforeseen situations.</p><p>This referential and the accompanying library are intended to guide Île-de-France transport operators in the design of passenger information (choice of content, principles of prioritization of information, methods of indicating disruptions, etc.).</p><p>This referential is structured around several components, downloadable below:</p><ul><li>A referential dedicated to Bus / BRT / Car mode (Volume 1);</li><li>A referential dedicated to the Tramway mode (Volume 2);</li><li>A referential dedicated to Train / RER / Metro modes (in project);</li><li>Complementary libraries, containing illustrations and examples of animations;</li><li>A library dedicated to Bus/BRT/Car mode;</li><li>A library dedicated to the Tramway mode.</li></ul><p>This is a target vision supported by Île-de-France Mobilités; Operators are therefore asked to apply and integrate these elements as far as possible on all equipment.</p>

<h3 id="chartes">Charters</h3><p>A charter is a regulation to organize and harmonize. It is a guide to what to do and what not to do in a specific area. The charters proposed by Ile-de-France Mobilités aim to organise and harmonise all passenger information content by offering a common transport language within the Ile-de-France perimeter.</p><h3 id="prescriptions">Requirements</h3><p>The prescriptions are tools for implementing the charter to which they are attached. They make it possible to describe precisely and for each context the objects to be used. The prescriptions proposed by Ile-de-France Mobilités are tools in order to:</p><ul><li>Design passenger information content in transport spaces;</li><li>Define standardised data exchange protocols for data contributing to passenger information on the Ile-de-France perimeter.</li></ul>

In a nutshell

<p>The Travelers Information Support and Content Charters defines the principles for the design, distribution and deployment of Passenger Information media and content in all public transport spaces (physical sites, remote media) and public transport vehicles in the Ile-de-France region.</p><p>Intended for transport and mobility stakeholders in the Île-de-France region, this charter aims to associate content and information media with the uses of passengers at any time during their journeys in the Ile-de-France region. In particular, it defines the level of service expected in transport spaces and vehicles. It must be applied by carriers whenever the context and the specificity of the network allow it. <p>The cartographic requirements are a design guide for the production of passenger maps. These maps are harmonised and structured in order to reflect a range effect, in particular through the definition of a "transport language" common to the entire Île-de-France region and taking into account the entire available transport offer without distinction between operators.</p><p>This document complements the Charter of Supports and Content and is intended to guide plan designers and producers in the creation of passenger maps (choice of the type of map, methods of representation of stopping points, direction of traffic, poles, etc.).</p><p>The document is divided into two booklets and a library of objects:</p><ul><li>A booklet defining the governance and ambition of Ile-de-France Mobilités (aimed in particular at decision-makers);</li><li>A booklet for designers;</li><li>The library of cartographic objects.</li></ul>

Cartography Requirements

<p>The signage requirements present all the graphic elements prescribed by Île-de-France-Mobilités in terms of Passenger Information and signage, as well as the principles of construction and application of graphic objects.</p><p>Intended for transport and mobility stakeholders in the Île-de-France region, the signage requirements aim to establish a coherent passenger information system for all users of the Île-de-France transport system. They are intended to guide operators in the construction of signage and passenger information elements (choice of font, references to the colour palette, methods of use of pictograms, etc.).</p><p>They are based on 5 downloadable resources below:</p><ul><li>A referential "signage requirements for public transport and mobility operators in Île-de-France", presenting all the graphic elements available on the PRIM platform, followed by implementation at bus stops, in tram stations, in metro stations and in train/RER stations (in project);</li><li>A library of graphic objects divided into 13 categories (fashion symbols in Île-de-France, new mobilities and intermodal services, services located in transport spaces, places of interest, traffic information, information services and transport tickets, means of payment, accessibility, safety, hygiene, prohibitions, regulations and directional arrows);</li><li>A folder containing the color charts (CMYK colors for paper application and RGB colors for digital application);</li><li>A file containing the policies of the Île-de-France Mobilités signage system: IDF Voyageur (whose use is preferred in constrained spaces) and Grand Paris (whose use is privileged in dense spaces);</li><li>A folder containing tools to help design bus line indices.</li><li><strong>NEW IN 2025</strong> : In addition, Ile-de-France Mobilités provides mobility operators with a Guide to the Use and Adaptation of Static Supports. <p>Île-de-France Mobilités has drawn up this document, the Requirements for Circumstantial Traveler Information, which aims to stabilise operators' practices and to have a referential of harmonised passenger information messages for the treatment of planned and unforeseen disrupted situations for all static and dynamic content.</p><p>The objective is to harmonise and make consistent the practices and messages disseminated to passengers on all passenger information content. These requirements are fully in line with the ambition sought by the Passenger Information Master Plan and its objectives.</p><p>Focusing primarily on the BUS mode, this document defines the design principles and the rules for drafting the Requirements for Circumstantial Traveler Information messages to be followed by operators. <p>Ile-de-France Mobilités has developed the Guide for the Use and Adaptation of Static Supports with the aim of providing operators with the standards and tools to guarantee the harmonisation, consistency, quality of installation and durability of IV content.</p><p>This document aims to exhaustively list the different models of static supports designed by Ile-de-France Mobilités and to explain the functional design rules.
