Cartography Requirements

    The cartographic requirements are a design guide for the production of passenger maps. These maps are harmonised and structured in order to reflect a range effect, in particular through the definition of a "transport language" common to the entire Île-de-France region and taking into account the entire available transport offer without distinction between operators.

    This document complements the Charter of Supports and Content and is intended to guide plan designers and producers in the creation of passenger maps (choice of the type of map, methods of representation of stopping points, direction of traffic, poles, etc.).

    The document is divided into two booklets and a library of objects:

    • A booklet defining the governance and ambition of Ile-de-France Mobilités (aimed in particular at decision-makers);
    • A booklet for designers;
    • The library of cartographic objects.
